The English Runes: Secrets of Magic, Spells and Divination

My book on runes has been published by Dragon House and it has two companion Journals/workbooks.  All available on Amazon.

Runes are an old European lettering system. They can be found widely in literature and film; however, when they are used it’s usually the Elder Futhark version. What a lot of people don’t know is that the English have their own runes, full of the heritage of England’s ancient land. These runes are rooted in the culture of the early English and the sounds they represent is part of the birth of the English language. Discover The Old English Rune Poem and, through this, find out more about the lives of the early English.

I wrote this book not only to spark interest, but also to help your personal journey if you wish to learn about these English runes.. The book is about runic magic, magical experience, spells and divination, it contains practical exercises to deepen your connection with runes, nature and wyrd.

I created The English Runes: Study Journal as a useful workbook where you can write all of your inspirational thoughts. It will become a personal record of what each rune means to you.

I designed The English Runes: Rune of the Day Journal  for you to keep a record of your own personal daily or weekly divination, there is room for both a Rune of the Day and a Three Rune Spread. Notes in this book will become a record of your own journey.

Emma Martin designed and created this beautiful artwork for the front cover, she is a good friend and great artist who sat patiently and listened to me describe the essence my book.  It was an exciting process as ideas on medium and content started to appear.  A drawing of a wise old tree created using wood charcoal; a tree that sings the English Runes into being.
